Sprite was born on 4/27/01. He was bred by Sandy McDonald in Gainseville, VA. In his litter, there were 7 puppies. We chose the registered name Moonstone Kindred Spirit in memory of our first beardie, Monty. We acquired Sprite as an agility puppy and he has exceeded our expectations!
Sprite was a beautiful puppy! He started out a lovely dark brown with flashy whites. During his teenage years, he looked like a ghost but as he matured, his coat returned to a deep rich brown and is a wonderful harsh texture.
Sprite began training in agility when he was 8 months old. I had never heard of agility before but was drawn into it by Sandy McDonald who was already competing with Sprite's half brother, Kip. We made lots of mistakes in the beginning but in spite of that, Sprite has matured into a wonderful agility partner. We do not trial a lot but we qualify frequently.
Sprite is almost 7 years old now and still going strong in agility. He also has earned his Novice Rally title, and has a lot of potential for Herding. We are very proud of his continued accomplishments! Sprite is always fun and is everyone's best friend.
